Honolulu has a Hiro
The Honolulu Pegasus basketball team has come to an agreement with Hirofumi Oga of Tokyo,Japan to become a member of their basketball team for the 2009-10 A.B.A. season.
Honolulu,Hawaii September 22, 2009 The Honolulu Pegasus basketball team has come to an agreement with Hirofumi Oga of Tokyo,Japan to become a member of their basketball team for the 2009-10 A.B.A. season.
 The 6 foot 2 inch lightning quick point guard burst on the professional scene during the 2006 N.B.A. Summer Pro League in Los Angeles,Ca. Hiro as he is known by family and friends played in the A.B.A. for the South Alabama Bounce during the 2006-07 season where he average 10 points and 5 assist per game. Hiro also was selected to the 2007 A.B.A. Selection Team Asian Tour.
"We feel very fortunate to have a player like Hiro and with his leadership skills as a point guard we feel that we are making great strides of putting together a strong Pegasus team that will win this season. Also with Hiro we have a player that the Japanese-American community in Honolulu can identify with and support the Honolulu Pegasus in a huge way". Stated by Pegasus President and Head Coach LaShun McDaniel. "I am honor to be apart of a professional organization like the Honolulu Pegasus and will work extremely hard for our team to win the A.B.A. Championship this 2009-10 season. I also want to thank the city and county of Honolulu for giving me this opportunity to be apart of this historic basketball organization", Hiro says.
